1. Who we are

Apex Marketing inc., doing business as Apex Player Media ("Apex", "we", "us" or "our"), is based in Québec City, Québec, Canada. This policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal information through apexplayers.com (the "Website") and when you contact us.

2. Person in charge of personal information

Under Québec law, our President is the person in charge of the protection of personal information at Apex. You can reach this person at info@apexplayers.com for any question or request about your personal information.

3. What we collect

Information you give us. When you use our contact form, we collect your name, work email, studio or publisher, game title and store link, platform, launch stage, monthly budget range, target regions, your message and the language version of the Website you used. We also keep the emails you send us.

Technical information. When you visit the Website, our hosting provider and our font provider automatically receive technical data needed to deliver the pages, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested.

No tracking. The Website does not use advertising cookies, analytics or other tracking tools. If this changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

4. Why we use it

We use your personal information to:

• answer your request and discuss a possible project;
• assess whether our services fit your game and prepare a proposal;
• keep a record of our business communications;
• protect the security of the Website; and
• meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it to make decisions based solely on automated processing.

By sending us the contact form or an email, you consent to the collection and use of your information for the purposes above. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us, subject to legal or contractual restrictions.

6. Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the Website and our business.

We may also disclose personal information when the law requires it, or as part of a business transaction such as a merger or sale, with appropriate safeguards.

7. Information processed outside Québec

Some of our service providers store or process information outside Québec, including in the United States. Before personal information is communicated outside Québec, we assess whether it will receive adequate protection, as Québec law requires. Information held in another country may be accessible to authorities there under local law.

8. How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Contact requests that do not lead to a business relationship are deleted no later than two years after our last exchange. Information about clients is kept for the length of the relationship and as long as the law requires afterwards.

9. Security

We protect personal information with reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards suited to its sensitivity. Access is limited to the people at Apex who need it, and the Website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). If a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious injury, we will notify the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec and the people affected, as the law requires.

10. Your rights

Subject to the law, you can ask to:

• access the personal information we hold about you;
• correct information that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date;
• withdraw your consent or have your information deleted; and
• receive your information in a structured, commonly used technological format.

Send your request to info@apexplayers.com. We will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. If a change is significant, we will make it clear on the Website.

12. Language

This policy is available in English and French. Both versions have the same value.
